| Bob Cicione was born in Providence,
Rhode Island on June 3, 1950. He earned a Bachelor of
Arts Degree from Providence College in 1972 and a
Masters Degree from the University of Connecticut in
1977. he was also privately tutored by Antonio D'Attorro
of the Rhode Island School of Design, 1983-1988. Cicione
paintings have been widely exhibited throughout the
United States, most recently in Providence, Boston,
Philadelphia and New York. His paintings are in several
private collections in the United States, Europe and the
Pacific. Robert M. Cicione is
currently represented in over 200 private and corporate
collections throughout the United States, Europe and the
Pacific.
Robert M. Cicione, LICSW, is also a psychotherapist in
private practice and a former Visiting Research
Associate at Brown University. Research on his
innovative method for eliminating the effects of trauma,
“Trauma Relief Unlimited”, has been published in Trauma
and Loss: Research and Interventions. He credits his
years as a painter in providing the breakthrough that
resulted in the development of this new method in
treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
